Hologic Inc Announces 15% Gain In Q4 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Hologic Inc (HOLX) reported a profit for its fourth quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $145.7 million, or $0.52 per share. This was higher than $127.1 million, or $0.43 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.50 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.4% to $726.8 million. This was up from $702.8 million last year.
