Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Appoints New Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Corporate Branding

Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company (NYSE: HRH), the world's10th largest insurance and risk management intermediary, announcedthat it has appointed Joseph Birriel to the position of senior vicepresident, human resources & corporate branding. Birriel will succeedHenry Kramer, who announced his intention to retire earlier this year.The transition will commence in mid-October.

Birriel will join HRH from The Martin Agency, an award-winningnational advertising firm, where he initially held the position ofvice president, director of human resources and subsequently becamepresident for BrandInside, the internal branding division of TheMartin Agency. Prior to working with The Martin Agency, Birriel wasemployed by Drake, Beam, Morin, a large human resources consultingfirm, where he served as vice president and director of globalaccounts. Previous other positions have included: director, corporatehuman resources, for The Travelers Group and director, corporate humanresources, for Champion International. Birriel earned a bachelor'sdegree in psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, and served inthe U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
