Health Net Sees FY15 EPS Of At Least $2.55; Boosts Stock Buyback Program

(RTTNews) - Health Net, Inc. (HNT) on Wednesday announced 2015 annual guidance of at least $2.55 for earnings per share and at least $3.15 per share for the combined Western Region Operations and Government Contracts segments.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently expect the company to earn $3.20 per share for the full year 2015. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Health Net also said that its board of directors has approved a $258 million increase to the company's existing share repurchase program.

Prior to December 16, Health Net had about $142 million of authorization remaining under the company's existing share repurchase program. Including the newly authorized repurchase authority, Health Net currently has $400 million in repurchase authority.
