Hasbro To Replace Penis-Shaped Play-Doh Part

(RTTNews) - Toy company Hasbro has offered to replace a penis-shaped plastic cylinder tool that came with its Play-Doh Cake Mountain set.

The company was hit with some well-publicized complaints from angry parents who thought the 3-inch frosting extruding tool looked too much like a sex toy.

Some of the complaints, which had been trickling in since November, were being deleted from the Hasbro's official Facebook page, but one from a mom accusing the company of "ruining" the family's Christmas went viral earlier this week.

On Wednesday, Hasbro finally acknowledged the issue:

"We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset and are in the process of updating all future Play-Doh products with a different tool," its Facebook page said Wednesday.

"Should any consumer want a replacement extruder for this item, they can contact Hasbro's Customer Service Department."

Since then, most responses to the Hasbro post have been supportive of the company, with some Facebook users cracking jokes and others saying their children were blissfully unaware that adults might find the toy a bit naughty.
