Harsco Q2 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Harsco Corp. (HSC) reported Tuesday second-quarter net income from continuing operations attributable to common stockholders of $14.46 million or $0.18 per share, compared to a net loss of $10.75 million or $0.14 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings per share from continuing operations was $0.28, compared to last year's $0.13.

Net income attributable to common stockholders was $0.17 per share, compared to a net loss of $0.13 per share.

Consolidated total revenues from continuing operations for the quarter increased 27 percent to $569.82 million from $447.28 million in the same quarter last year.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.23 per share on revenues of $556.37 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
