Haemonetics CEO Brian Concannon Resigns

(RTTNews) - Haemonetics Corp. (HAE) said Tuesday that Brian Concannon has resigned from his role as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a Director to pursue other opportunities, effective immediately.

Ronald Gelbman, a member of Haemonetics' Board of Directors, has been appointed as Interim CEO.

To facilitate and ensure a seamless transition, Concannon will remain with the company through October 31.

The company said its board will immediately engage in a process to identify a permanent Chief Executive Officer.

Gelbman, 67, joined the Haemonetics Board in 2000. He retired from Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) in April 2000, after serving in a variety of senior executive roles including as a member of the executive committee and as Worldwide Chairman of the Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics and Health Systems Groups.
