GTT Communications Q4 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - GTT Communications Inc. (GTT) posted fourth-quarter net loss of $7.7 million or $0.25 per share, wider than $3.7 million or $0.16 per share in the prior year period.

Revenue for the latest fourth-quarter rose by 35.9% to $62.66 million from $46.10 million in the comparable quarter last year.

Fourth quarter 2014 revenue was negatively impacted by $1.3 million compared to the third quarter of 2014 due to the US dollar strengthening against the pound sterling and the euro. However, the impact to Adjusted EBITDA was nominal as weaker foreign currency lowered GTT's cost of revenue and SG&A expenses.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.08 per share and revenue of $62.96 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
