Grupo Aeroportuario Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, SAB de CV (ASR) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net earnings of 744.3 million pesos or 2.48 pesos per share compared with 634.4 million pesos or 2.12 pesos per share last year.

On a per American depositary share basis, earnings for the quarter were $1.63 compared with $1.39 a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.60 per ADS for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenues for the quarter jumped 29% from last year to 1.8 billion pesos.

Operating margin for the quarter slid to 57.2% from 60.6% last year.

Grupo said passenger traffic in the quarter was up 12.35%.
