Great Plains Energy Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Great Plains Energy (GXP) reported third-quarter net income of $147.0 million or $0.95 per share, up from $142.7 million or $0.93 per share last year.

Operating revenues rose to $782.5 million from $765.0 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.97 on revenues of $781.5 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items

The company lowered its full-year earnings guidance range to $1.52 to $1.62 per share from $1.60 to $1.75 per share. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $1.63 per share.
