Gett appoints Amos Genish as Chairman of the Board Supporting the Company's Global Growth Plans

LONDON, June 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ride-hailing and corporate ground travel leader Gett has appointed Amos Genish, 58, Senior Partner at the leading investment bank of Brazil, BTG Pactual, and a veteran telecoms executive (former CEO of Telecom Italia, Telefônica Brasil, and GVT) as independent Chairman of the Board.

As co-founder and CEO of technology-focused telecommunications firm GVT, Amos drove the innovative company's growth across Brazil, co-led its successful IPO and sale to Vivendi in 2009, as well as the $9.2 billion acquisition by Telefonica in 2014. Having gone on to lead Telefonica Brazil as CEO, Amos most recently served as Telecom Italia's CEO and General Manager and holds several board positions in the telecoms, banking and media sectors.

Amos is based in London and has just been appointed as a Senior Partner and head of the new full-service digital retail arm of BTG Pactual, the largest investment bank in Latin America and the Caribbean, taking on the challenge to transform the traditional retail bank into a digital platform.
