Gerard Academy Names Karen Wolf as new Associate Director
AUSTIN, Minn., June 28, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Gerard Academy, Austin, MN, has named Karen Wolf as its new Associate Director, working closely with Executive Director Brent Henry, who will train and mentor Wolf to assume the duties of Executive Director upon his retirement, next spring.
Wolf has been with Gerard Academy for 18 years. During that time, she has served as a therapist, clinical supervisor, and clinical director. Wolf has also worked as a counselor, so she brings milieu experience to her new position, as well.
Wolf graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science, Corrections, and a Minor in Sociology. She then went on to pursue her Master of Science in Community Counseling from the same university. Prior to her time at Nexus, Karen worked with the Leo A. Hoffman Center, as well as the Mankato Psychology Clinic.
Executive Director Brent Henry said he believes "Karen will provide fresh leadership and vision for the Academy.'' Henry said he is confident that Karen will "continue the high quality programing of Gerard, and will ensure that the Gerard culture continues."
Gerard Academy is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, that provides residential treatment, assessments, outpatient mental health services, and community-based mental health services to boys, girls, teens, adults, and families in Southeastern Minnesota.
