Gannett Names Joanne Lipman As First-ever Chief Content Officer - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Publishing company Gannett Co., Inc. (GCI) announced two key appointments. The company named Joanne Lipman to the newly created post of chief content officer at Gannett. Daniel Bernard has been appointed the company's chief product officer.

Lipman was principal of Surrey Lane Media, formerly editor-in-chief of Conde Nast Portfolio and Portfolio.com, and previously deputy managing editor of The Wall Street Journal.

Bernard was formerly head of product for Time, Fortune and Money Digital at Time, Inc., and previously chief product officer for The Wall Street Journal Digital Network and general manager for The Wall Street Journal Online.

Both Lipman and Bernard will report to Robert Dickey, president and CEO of Gannett.
