FuelCell Energy Loss Narrows; Stock Up 6%

(RTTNews) - FuelCell Energy Inc (FCEL) Monday reported fourth-quarter net loss to stockholders of $5.5 million or $0.02 per share compared with a loss of $10.5 million or $0.06 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $54.4 million compared with $55.2 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.02 per share on revenues of $52.9 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Cost of revenues for the quarter fell to $48.5 million from $52.6 million last year.

FuelCell Energy manufactures stationary fuel cell power plants for distributed baseload power generation.
