Fresenius Medical Care Receives National Kidney Foundation Gift of Life Awards
Fresenius Medical Care North America, operator of the nation’s leading network of dialysis facilities, is honored to receive the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) serving Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont & Maine's 2008 Gift of Life Award for Outstanding Corporate Partner. Jennifer Richmond Terry, R.N., Clinical Manager of Fresenius Medical Care North Suburban Dialysis Center in Saugus, Mass., also received the Outstanding Administrator Award.
The corporate award recognizes Fresenius Medical Care’s commitment to the chronic kidney disease community through their participation in, and sponsorship of, the NKF’s 2008 Boston Kidney Walk. Jennifer Richmond Terry was honored for her dedication to quality patient care and her exceptional clinical management skills. Both awards were presented at the NKF’s Annual Gift of Life dinner on January 22 in Needham, Mass.
"We are privileged to receive the Outstanding Corporate Partner award. Fresenius Medical Care and the National Kidney Foundation share a commitment to helping improve the well-being and quality of life for chronic kidney disease patients," said Kathy Dickey, regional vice president of Fresenius Medical Care. "We also congratulate Jennifer on her achievement. She works extremely hard to provide superior care to patients, and makes them feel their care team is part of their extended healthcare family."
The Gift of Life Awards honor the accomplishments of organizations and people who have made significant contributions to the kidney and organ/tissue donation and transplantation communities, as well as the National Kidney Foundation. Award recipients must be nominated by a peer and nominations undergo committee review.
"It’s no surprise that Fresenius Medical Care is being recognized at the corporate level, as our Outstanding Corporate Partner, and in the field, for Outstanding Administration. Fresenius strives to serve the comprehensive and complex needs of patients at all levels with professional, quality care,” said Linda Plazonja, Division President of the NKF serving MA, RI, NH, VT & ME.
The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to preventing kidney and urinary tract diseases, improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increasing the availability of all organs for transplantation. For more information, visit www.kidney.org.
