Freescale Semiconductor Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd. (FSL) Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $125 million or $0.40 per share, up from $23 million or $0.09 per share last year.

Adjusted net earnings for the third quarter rose to $150 million or $0.49 per share from $51 million or $0.20 per share last year.

Net sales for the third quarter rose to $1.21 billion from $1.09 billion last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.43 per share on revenues of $1.21 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, the company expects net sales of $1.075 billion and $1.125 billion. Analysts currently expect fourth-quarter sales of $1.18 billion.
