Freescale Semiconductor Q2 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd. (FSL) Thursday said second-quarter loss widened to $65 million or $0.25 per share from $34 million or $0.14 per share in the same quarter last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter was $23 million or $0.09 per share. On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.07 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Sales increased to $1.04 billion from $981 million last year. Analysts expected sales of $1.02 billion.

Looking ahead to the third quarter, the company has forecast revenues in the range of $1.05 billion and $1.09 billion per share. Analysts currently expect third-quarter revenues of $1.06 billion.
