Founder of Courtwatch Advocates for Public Education on Court Systems

TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Catherine W Real PA has always been passionate about public service. In addition to her successful career as a family law attorney in the state of Florida, Catherine W Real PA has founded the non-profit organization called Courtwatch. This dedicated organization works to provide more opportunities for the average citizen to observe how the Florida courts handle domestic violence related cases, criminal cases, and civil cases. Catherine W Real PA hopes with this opportunity, the public will provide unbiased and honest feedback to the courts, prosecutors, and the attorneys in an effort to improve the court system.

Courtwatch has been successful for Catherine W Real PA who feels that, "there should be more organizations like this that work to actively engage the community and public in their judicial system." Catherine W Real PA hopes to sensitize the public to issues regarding the consequences of domestic violence, especially in how it impacts and affects children. Catherine W Real PA has been recognized for her hard and innovative work in launching this non-profit organization.

In addition to Courtwatch, Catherine W Real PA has also been the founder of another non-profit organization known as Citizens for Better Courts. This non-profit corporation was created in an effort to promote and increase awareness by the public of the performance in the Tampa Bay courts. Catherine W Real PA hopes that by helping the average citizen understand and become engaged in the court system, the public will become more active in voting for the judges who serve their community. Catherine W Real PA wants to create a Florida court system that is more efficient and listens to the people of its community, and feels that one of the most effective ways to do so is to get the public actively involved in the very courtrooms that influence and affect their lives on a daily basis, whether they realize it immediately or not.

The National Conference for Community and Justice, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry, and racism in the United States through advocacy, conflict resolution and education, has recognized Catherine W Real PA's outstanding accomplishments. Catherine W Real PA received the Certificate of Appreciation from the National Conference for Community and Justice at the 2004 Silver Medallion Humanitarian Awards Dinner Committee.

Catherine W Real PA continues to lead in public service and in family law in the state of Florida. Through her experience as an attorney and her leadership in public service, Catherine W Real PA remains an important figure throughout Florida. From Key West to Tallahassee, Catherine W Real PA is recognized for her career and outstanding achievements. She knows that her work, however, isn't over; it is important, she says, to keep striving for more involvement and commitment from other members of these communities in order for these organizations to thrive and affect real change. The best indicator of an effective non-profit, says Catherine W Real PA, is its ability to sustain itself over time, even beyond its original members.
