Flextronics, SunEdison Expand Partnership For Solar Modules

(RTTNews) - Contract electronics manufacturer Flextronics International Ltd (FLEX) on Tuesday said it has expanded a partnership with renewable energy company SunEdison Inc (SUNE) to manufacture its solar modules in Mexico.

Flextronics said it would begin the full volume manufacturing in the first quarter of calendar 2015 at its facility in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The solar modules will be primarily used in the USA for residential, utility and commercial photovoltaic projects.

"This latest business award will increase our manufacturing capacity to more than 1.7 gigawatts, underscoring our leadership position as the largest supply chain solutions provider for solar modules.
