Figma's IPO Was a Blockbuster -- Should You Chase the Surge or Wait for a Pullback?

On July 31, interface design company Figma (NYSE: FIG) went public, and it was an absolute blockbuster. The initial public offering (IPO) was priced at $33 per share. But on its first day of trading, Figma stock quickly skyrocketed as high as $125 per share, giving the company a market valuation of over $60 billion -- higher than the valuation for household names like Chipotle Mexican Grill and General Motors.The excitement is understandable. In its filings to go public, Figma disclosed that a whopping 78% of the Forbes 2000 -- a running list of 2,000 of the biggest publicly traded companies in the world -- use its design software.
