Exide Appoints Kevin McMahon Vice President-Audit

Prior to joining Exide, Mr. McMahon most recently was ChiefInternal Auditor at Novelis Inc., an aluminum rolling and recyclingcompany that was formed as a spin-off from Alcan. Earlier, he servedas Vice President Internal Audit Services at HCA Inc. and a Manager ofAssurance and Advisory Services at Ernst & Young LLP.

Mr. McMahon is a Certified Internal Auditor and holds a bachelor'sdegree in accounting from the State University of New York and an MBAfrom Palm Beach Atlantic University.
