Ewout Steenbergen is appointed member of AXA’s Board of Directors to replace Rachel Duan

On August 1st, 2024, Rachel Duan informed AXA’s Board of Directors of her intention to resign from her directorship at the end of the year.Following the recommendation of the Compensation, Governance & Sustainability Committee, the Board of Directors has decided today to appoint Ewout Steenbergen to replace Rachel Duan for the remainder of her mandate, that is until the 2026 Annual Shareholders’ Meeting.This appointment (cooptation) will be effective from January 1st, 2025 and will be proposed for ratification at AXA’s 2025 Annual Shareholders’ Meeting.Ewout Steenbergen was selected by the Board of Directors in light of his strong insurance, technology and financial expertise, and his international executive profile.
