Eversource Energy Reveals 4% Decline In Q1 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Eversource Energy (ES) reported a profit for first quarter that lost ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line declined to $244.15 million, or $0.77 per share. This was lower than $253.25 million, or $0.80 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.78 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 17.9% to $2.06 billion. This was down from $2.51 billion last year.
