Eversource Energy Reveals 2% Drop In Q2 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Eversource Energy (ES) reported a profit for second quarter that declined compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $203.65 million, or $0.64 per share. This was lower than $207.507 million, or $0.65 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.65 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 2.7% to $1.77 billion. This was down from $1.82 billion last year.
