E*Trade Financial Corp. Profit Rises 45% In Q3

(RTTNews) - E*Trade Financial Corp. (ETFC) revealed earnings for its third quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $139 million, or $0.51 per share. This was up from $96 million, or $0.32 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.40 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.8% to $486 million. This was up from $431 million last year.
