Equifax Inc Earnings Climb 27% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Equifax Inc (EFX) announced a profit for its third quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $175.2 million, or $1.44 per share. This was higher than $137.6 million, or $1.14 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.36 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 20.5% to $804.1 million. This was up from $667.4 million last year.
