EMC Corp Q4 Earnings Fall 10%

(RTTNews) - EMC Corp (EMC) released a profit for fourth quarter that dropped from last year.

The company said its bottom line dropped to $1.27 billion, or $0.647 per share. This was lower than $1.41 billion, or $0.689 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.65 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.6% to $7.01 billion. This was down from $7.05 billion last year.
