Edison International Q4 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Edison International (EIX) reported fourth quarter net income of $420 million or $1.29 per share, compared to $301 million or $0.92 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, core earnings for the fourth quarter were $355 million or $1.08 per share, compared to $264 million or $0.81 per share in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Total operating revenue for the fourth quarter rose to $$3.11 billion from $2.94 billion a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.83 per share on revenue of $2.80 billion for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
