Earnings Watch For October 31 (CAH, CLX, COP, XOM, MA, MGM, TWC)

(RTTNews) - Cardinal Health, Inc. (CAH) is slated to report results for the first quarter. The healthcare services provider is expected to report a profit of $0.86 per share, an increase from $0.81 per share a year ago. Besides, revenues are estimated to decline to $22.76 billion from $25.89 billion in the previous year. The stock closed Wednesday at $55.68. (52-wk H/L $56.78/$38.76)

Integrated oil company ConocoPhillips (COP) is due to post its third-quarter results. The Houston, Texas-based company is expected to earn $1.39 per share, a decrease increase from $1.44 per share a year ago, whereas revenues are estimated at $12.97 billion, lower than the prior year's $15.09 billion. The company's shares closed Wednesday's regular trading at $73.25. (52-wk H/L $74.59/$53.95)

Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) is also scheduled to report third quarter results before the markets open. The Oil and natural gas giant is expected to earn $1.77 per share, down from $2.09 per share reported last year while revenues are projected to be decline at $107.39 billion, versus $115.71 billion last year. The shares of Exxon Mobil closed Wednesday's trade at $88.81. (52-wk H/L $95.49/$84.70)

Mastercard Inc. (MA) is expected to post third-quarter results. The earnings of the New York-based payments company are expected to rise to $6.95 per share from $6.17 per share earned a year ago. Quarterly revenues are estimated to grow to $2.13 billion from the prior year's $1.92 billion. The company's shares closed Tuesday's regular trading at $725.68. (52-wk H/L $737.83/$453.57)

Clorox Co. (CLX) will report its first quarter results before the markets open. The earnings of the company are expected at $1.01 per share, flat with a year earlier, while quarterly revenues are anticipated to rise slightly to $1.35 billion from last year's $1.34 billion. The company's shares closed Wednesday's session at $90.14. (52-wk H/L $90.57/$72.08)

MGM Resorts International (MGM) is slated to report third quarter results. The casino operator is expected to report a loss of $0.03 per share, narrower than the prior year loss of $0.23 per share. Revenues are estimated at $2.42 billion, compared to 2.25 billion last year. The stock closed Wednesday at $20.29. (52-wk H/L $20.98/$9.15).

Time Warner Cable Inc. (TWC) is due to post third-quarter results. The company is expected to record earnings of $1.65 per share, lower than $2.60 per share earned last year. However, revenues are projected to increase to $5.54 billion from $5.36 billion reported a year ago. Shares of TWC closed Wednesday's trade at $116.88. (52-wk H/L $120.93/$84.57)

AmerisourceBergen Corp. (ABC), Avon Products Inc. (AVP), CIGNA Corp. (CI), Discovery Communications (DISCA), Mylan Inc. (MYL), New York Times (NYT), Teva Pharmaceuticals (TEVA), MDU Resources (MDU), Mohawk Industries Inc. (MHK), Public Storage (PSA), Tellabs Inc.(TLAB)and Newmont Mining Corp. (NEM) are also due to report their results.
