Dynatrace Q2 Results Rise, Sees Q3 Adj. EPS In Line With Market; Lifts FY22 View

(RTTNews) - While reporting higher second-quarter results on Wednesday, software intelligence provider Dynatrace, Inc. (DT) issued third-quarter guidance, and raised fiscal 2022 view above market estimates.

For the third quarter, the company expects adjusted net income of $45.5 million to $47.5 million and adjusted net income per share of $0.16. Total revenue is expected to be in the range of $233 million to $235 million, a growth of 27 percent to 28 percent as reported, or 28 percent to 29 percent on a constant currency basis.

On average, 18 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect earnings of $0.16 per share for the quarter on revenues of $233.23 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Further, for fiscal 2022, the company now projects adjusted net income in the range of $185 to $191 million, and adjusted earnings in a range of $0.63 to $0.65 per share, higher than previous estimate of $0.60 to $0.63 per share.

Total revenues are now expected to be between $913 million and $919 million, up from previous view between $902 million and $914 million. The revised outlook represents 30 percent to 31 percent growth as reported, and 29 percent to 30 percent growth on a constant currency basis, an increase of 250 basis points from prior midpoint guidance.

Analysts estimate earnings of $0.63 per share on revenues of $910.89 million.

In the second quarter, net income grew to $23.64 million or $0.08 per share from last year's $17.48 million or $0.06 per share. Adjusted earnings per share were $ 0.18, compared to $0.16 last year.

Total revenue grew to $226.35 million from last year's $168.59 million. Analysts expected earnings of $0.16 per share on revenues of $220.61 million.
