DTE Energy Co Q2 Profit Climbs 29%

(RTTNews) - DTE Energy Co (DTE) released earnings for its second quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $177 million, or $0.98 per share. This was higher than $137 million, or $0.76 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.89 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.4% to $2.26 billion. This was down from $2.27 billion last year.
