DTE Energy Co Bottom Line Advances 18% In Q1

(RTTNews) - DTE Energy Co (DTE) revealed a profit for its first quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $322 million, or $1.79 per share. This was up from $274 million, or $1.52 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 26.1% to $3.24 billion. This was up from $2.57 billion last year.
