DryShips Q2 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Greece-based DryShips Inc (DRYS) Tuesday reported second-quarter net loss of $5.6 million or $0.01 per share, narrower than $18.2 million or $0.05 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $527.67 million compared with $336.01 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings per share of $0.06 on revenues of $491.55 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

On July 21, 2014, Ocean Rig announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend with respect to the quarter ended June 30, 2014 of $0.19 per common share, to shareholders of record as of August 1, 2014 and payable on or about August 11, 2014.
