DreamWorks Q3 Profit Tops Estimates

(RTTNews) - DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (DWA) reported net income for the third quarter of $11.9 million or $0.14 per share, compared to $10.1 million or $0.12 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Revenue for the third quarter rose to $180.9 million from $154.5 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.08 per share on revenue of $182.65 million for the third quarter.

The company said its fourth quarter 2014 results are expected to be driven primarily by its feature film segment, including results from the theatrical release of Penguins of Madagascar and the home entertainment release of How to Train Your Dragon 2.
