Dreamers Ventures Teams Up With Michelle Van Otten To Help Entrepreneurs in the U.S. & Latin America
NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Dreamers Ventures partners up with Silicon Valley Tech Brand Strategist and former CEO of OMNIKAL, Michelle Van Otten to continue to expand its vision to empower and accelerate the growth of underrepresented entrepreneurs, with a focus on Latinos across the Americas.
Dreamers Ventures kicked off its multi-city tour this past Global Entrepreneurship Week at the Google headquarters in New York City bringing together entrepreneurs, experts and investors to build connections and shortcut access to information and resources for growth to empower America's fastest growing entrepreneurial segments: minorities and primarily Hispanics.
"I am thrilled to have Michelle as part of our leadership team as we build an ecosystem curated to serve the unique needs of diverse entrepreneurs across the U.S. and Latin America," said Lili Gil Valletta, co-creator of Dreamers Ventures and CEO of CIEN+ CulturIntel. "Michelle's 26-year expertise building companies in the Silicon Valley combined with her strong corporate acumen and personal passion to empower entrepreneurs, are a tremendous asset for Dreamers Ventures to accelerate its reach and economic impact."
Van Otten will focus on not only expanding the ecosystem of private and corporate support but will also lead the development of a strategic framework that integrates technology to enable targeted online and offline connections for accelerated growth. "I look forward to creating a constellation of exceptional partners and sponsors, to leverage technology, social, education and investment resources in a way that advances the entire ecosystem forward with ease and power" says Ms Van Otten.
The platform comes to life thanks to the support of private and corporate partners who are committed to bringing knowledge and access to capital to small business owners. Google for example, has made Dreamers Ventures an official partner to Accelerate with Google, a platform providing success stories, resources, and free, open-to-the-public workshops on digital marketing with a curriculum focusing on the unique needs of African American and Latino entrepreneurs.
As part of its Latin American tour, Dreamers Ventures will focus on reaching women entrepreneurs to tap into one of the region's most prominent, yet underutilized sources of entrepreneurial growth. More than almost anywhere else, Latin American women are starting businesses because they are identifying opportunities, and their countries have much to gain. According to Women's Entrepreneurial Venture Scope, Chile, Peru and Colombia have the best environments for female entrepreneurs. Dreamers Ventures Bogotá will be the first of its kind, taking place on March 15. Women will not only hear from leading experts and investors but will also have an opportunity to pitch their product for a chance to commercialize and sell in the U.S. reaching over 90 million households on TV at HSN's American Dreams, where Lili Gil Valletta appears as a guest host and mentor to entrepreneurs.
Following Colombia, the Dreamers Ventures tour will stop in six cities, including:
Albuquerque in April
Chicago on May 2nd
Miami on July 10th
Los Angeles on September 19th
Mexico City, Mexico, October
New York City in November
