DowDuPont Holding On To Strong Gain In Late-Day Trading

(RTTNews) - Shares of DowDuPont Inc. (DWDP) have pulled back off their highs of the session but continue to see considerable strength in late-day trading on Thursday. DowDuPont is currently up by 8 percent.

DowDuPont gapped open sharply higher after the chemical giant reported third quarter adjusted earnings of $0.74 per share compared to analyst estimates for $0.71 per share. The company also announced a new $3 billion share repurchase program and reaffirmed its full-year earnings guidance.

"Going forward, we remain well positioned to continue to drive top-line gains from above-GDP demand growth for our products and new product launches, while further delivering productivity and cost synergy savings," said DowDuPont CFO Howard Ungerleider.
