Wirecard AG reported a strong second quarter of the fiscal year 2016.

According to preliminary figures revenues in the second quarter 2016 grew in comparison to the previous year period by 32.9 percent from EUR 180.7 million to EUR 240.2 million. In the first half of 2016 revenues increased by 32.5 percent to EUR 450.6 million (H1/2015: EUR 340.1 million).

Preliminary earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) improved by 34.2 percent to EUR 70.2 million (Q2/2015: EUR 52.3 million) in the second quarter of 2016. In the first half year EBITDA rose by 34.5 percent from EUR 98.3 million to EUR 132.2 million.

The Management Board expects a continuing positive business performance in the second half of 2016 and has confirmed its most recent forecast for the fiscal year 2016 for an EBITDA of between EUR 290 million to EUR 310 million.

All results are preliminary. The Q2 report will be published on 17 August 2016.
