Darmstadt (Germany), 13 July 2016 - The Management Board of Software AG (SOW - TECDAX) decided today to raise the company's outlook for the full year 2016. Based on preliminary figures in the second quarter and the positive business development in the first half of 2016, as well as on the strong project pipeline for the second half of 2016, Software AG's board now expects the following business development:

- The operating profit margin (EBITA, non-IFRS) for the full year 2016 is expected to reach +30.5 to +31.5 percent (prior guidance as of 27 January 2016: +30.0 to +31.0 percent).

- For the database business Adabas & Natural (A&N), a significantly more stable development and a product revenue adjustment of between -2 and -6 percent at constant currency compared to the previous year (prior guidance as of 27 January 2016: -4 to -8 percent) is expected for the full year 2016.

- The company's outlook for the full year 2016 for the Digital Business Platform (DBP) remains unchanged with an expected currency-adjusted product revenue increase of between +5 and +10 percent over the previous year.
