Deswell Industries Slips To Loss In Q1 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Deswell Industries Inc. (DSWL) reported a first-quarter net loss of $1.7 million compared to a net income of $0.04 million in the same quarter last year. Loss per share was $0.11 compared to income per share of $0.0025 last year.

Net sales for the first quarter were $11.1 million, a decrease of 23.2% compared to net sales of $14.5 million last year.

The company also announced that its board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.05 per share and a special cash dividend of $0.02 for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, 2013. The dividends will be payable on September 30, 2013 to shareholders of record as of September 11, 2013.
