Departure of Pierre Lapointe from the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal Mining Canada G.P.

LONGUEUIL, QC, Oct. 26, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - ArcelorMittal Mining Canada G. P. is announcing that Pierre Lapointe is stepping down from his position as CEO with immediate effect. Jean Ouellet, COO of ArcelorMittal Mining Canada G.P. assumes the role of the CEO on an interim basis, in addition to the position he currently holds.

Mr. Ouellet, has been a long-standing employee and strong member of the ArcelorMittal Mining management team. In this role, Jean will report to Gustavo Gomes, VP, COO, ArcelorMittal Mining segment. Mr. Lapointe will assist with the transition.
