Dave & Buster's Rises In Pre-market On Upbeat Quarterly Results

(RTTNews) - Shares of Dave & Buster's Entertainment, Inc. (PLAY), a restaurant and entertainment business, were rising more than 13 percent in pre-market on Wednesday after reporting upbeat second-quarter results.

Net income increased to $40.3 million, or $0.99 per share for the second quarter from $25.9 million, or $0.60 per share in the same quarter a year ago.

Excluding one-time items, earnings were $45.7 million, or $1.12 per share, that beat the analysts' average estimate of $0.84 per share.

Revenue for the quarter increased 2.8 percent year-on-year to $557.1 million.

Dave & Buster's stock had closed at $29.86, down 0.83 percent on Tuesday. It has traded in the range of $29.34 - $69.82 in the last 1 year.
