Darden Restaurants Inc. Q1 Profit Climbs 37%

(RTTNews) - Darden Restaurants Inc. (DRI) released earnings for its first quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $111.1 million, or $0.89 per share. This was higher than $81.0 million, or $0.64 per share, in last year's first quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.2% to $1.71 billion. This was up from $1.69 billion last year.
