Daqo New Energy Q3 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - China-based polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy Corp.'s (DQ) third-quarter net loss attributable to shareholders reduced to $10.3 million, from a $15.5 million loss last year. Loss per ADS narrowed significantly to $1.49, from a loss of $2.46 in the prior-year period.

For the three-month period, revenues totaled $29.64 million, an increase compared with $21.12 million in the third quarter of 2012. The company recorded $22.9 million of revenues from polysilicon, versus $19.4 million in the 2012 period.

For the fourth quarter of 2013, the firm expects to ship 1,200 MT of polysilicon, and anticipates to ship nearly 13.5 million pieces of wafer.
