CYS Investments Posts Profit In Q3

(RTTNews) - CYS Investments Inc. (CYS) reported third-quarter net income available to common shares of $19.8 million or $0.12 per share. Core earnings plus drop income was $49.7 million, or $0.31 per share (Core earnings of $32.5 million, or $0.20 per share, and drop income of $17.2 million, or $0.11 per share), for the quarter.

Net interest income was $43.7 million for the quarter, while total other loss was $12.7 million.

The Company had a net realized gain and unrealized loss from Investments of $71.6 million for the third quarter of 2014, compared to a net realized and unrealized gain from Investments of $190.6 million for the second quarter of 2014.
