Cullen/Frost Bankers Q3 EPS Matches View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Cullen/Frost Bankers, Inc.(CFR), Wednesday reported almost flat net income for the third-quarter. However, on a per share basis, the earnings were up by a penny for the quarter, and also matched the Street estimates.

Net income available to common shareholders was $58.4 million, compared with $58.6 million a year ago. On a per share basis, the earnings were $0.96, compared with $0.95 a year ago.

On average,seventeen analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings per share of $0.96 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Net interest income was $155.3 million, compared with $151.5 million a year earlier. On a taxable-equivalent basis, net interest income was $179.1 million, compared with $167.3 million a year ago. Total non-interest income was $73.9 million, compared with $71.1 million last year.

Analysts expected revenues of $240.94 million.
