CTS Awarded Production Program by a Leading U.S. Telecommunications Company for Micro-Cell Base Station Market

CTS Corporation (NYSE: CTS), a global leader in the design and manufacture of electronic components, today announced it has been selected to provide its ActiPlexTM Series of filters in micro-cell base stations.

The awarded program was from a large U.S. based telecommunications company that has developed single board, multi-band, micro-cell base stations using CTS’ patented monoblock ActiPlexTM filters. Total sales from this award are expected to reach approximately $5 million over the three-year life of the program with initial shipments beginning mid-year 2009.

ActiPlexTM filters provide competitive performance to air cavity filters at a fraction of the size and weight. CTS’ highly engineered electronic components products such as the ActiPlexTM Series of filters support the demand for high-speed data services and mobile broadband applications that continue to fuel the rollout of 3G and 4G infrastructures around the world.
