Ctrip.com Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Ctrip.com International Ltd. (CTRP), Tuesday reported third quarter net income attributable to Ctrip's shareholders of 372.99 million yuan or 2.44 yuan per ADS, compared to 193.82 million yuan or 1.41 yuan per ADS last year. On a US dollar basis, earnings were $61 million or $0.40 per ADS.

Excluding share-based compensation charges, net income attributable to Ctrip's shareholders was RMB482 million or $79 million, up 59% year-on-year. Excluding share-based compensation charges, earnings per ADS were RMB3.14 or $0.51 for the quarter.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.27 per share for the quarter. Analysts estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Net revenues for the quarter rose to 1.54 billion yuan compared to 1.17 billion yuan last year. On a US dollar basis, revenues were $252 million. Analysts estimated revenues of $241.68 million for the quarter.

CTRP closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $59.19, up $1.08 or 1.86% on a volume of 4.35 million shares. The stock declined $4.59 or $7.75% in after-hours trading.
