Ctrip.com Q2 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Ctrip.com International Ltd. (CTRP), Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of 210.4 million yuan or 1.47 yuan per ADS, compared to 119.7 million yuan or 0.81 yuan per ADS last year.

On a US dollar basis, earnings were $34.3 million or $024 per ADS. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.17 per share for the quarter. Analysts estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Total revenues for the quarter rose to 1.32 billion yuan compared to 1.03 billion yuan last year. On a US dollar basis, revenues were $215.1 million. Analysts estimated revenues of $190.41 million for the quarter.

Following the news, shares of CTRP rose 10 percent in extended trading hours.
