Crown Crafts Q1 Profit Declines - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Crown Crafts, Inc. (CRWS) Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $703 thousand or $0.07 per share, down from $822 thousand or $0.08 per share in the prior year.

Net sales for the quarter declined to $15.70 million from $16.61 million a year ago.

"Although the first quarter historically is the slowest quarter of our fiscal year, we are excited about our momentum leading into the remainder of the fiscal 2015," said Randall Chestnut, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

The board has also declared a quarterly cash dividend on the Company's Series A common stock of $0.08 per share, which will be paid on October 3, to shareholders of record on September 12.
