Crown Castle Int'l Q4 FFO Soars; Issues Q1 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Crown Castle International Corp. (CCI) reported that its fourth quarter Funds from Operations or FFO was $284.3 million, or $0.89 per share, compared to $88.3 million, or $0.30 per share in the prior year period.

Adjusted Funds from Operations or AFFO increased to $358.7 million, or $1.12 per share from $243 million, or $0.83 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Net loss attributable to stockholders for the quarter was $34.9 million or $0.11 per share, wider than $19.5 million or $0.07 per share last year.

Net revenue for the latest fourth quarter increased to $798.42 million from $674.09 million for the same period last year. Site rental revenue for the fourth quarter increased to $650.59 million from $570.31 million in the year ago period.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.16 per share and revenues of $746.49 million for the fourth-quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the first-quarter, the company expects AFFO per share of $1.11 to $1.13, net income per share of $0.23 and $0.33. Site rental revenues for the first-quarter are expected to be $737 million to $742 million. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $0.18 per share and revenues of $725.88 million for the first-quarter.

For 2014, the company now expects AFFO of $4.49 per share to $4.54 per share, net income of $1.02 per share to $1.27 per share and site rental revenues of $2.972 billion to $2.982 billion. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $0.84 per share and revenues of $3.43 billion for fiscal 2014.
