Crane Co. Bottom Line Rises 5% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Crane Co. (CR) revealed a profit for its third quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $63.5 million, or $1.07 per share. This was up from $60.3 million, or $1.03 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.02 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 3.6% to $694.2 million. This was up from $669.9 million last year.
